Phoenix smart charger 12/50 - 1+1

I am having a Fault on my charger , its a Bulk fault .

How do I clear it ?

Please can you post more details: What voltage /current/settings you have from VE connect?

Here is a screen shot of settings

Thats just the overview over your devices, for the settings you need to connect to the device and then click onto the cogwheel icon.

Max bulk time can be exceeded when the battery capacity is much larger than the charger, or when theres a constant load on the system. So the batteries dont reach a full charge in the specified time, which is set to 10hrs as standard. If this is a common occurance you can prolong the bulk time in the expert settings.

Im not sure how to reset the fault on this specific device, but you should be able to reset the error through VictronConnect. If that doesnt work, try removing both AC and DC voltage for a bit

If the battery is much larger than the Charger capacity, then the “Stop on excess bulk” setting in the charger should be disabled.

How can i disable that ?

Are these what your referring to , if so what can i change ?

Yes. So here you can enable expert mode and then adjust the max bulk time if necessary.

If this happened for the first time i would just reset the error and carry on. If it happens often you either need to check if your battery is much bigger than the charger can handle or if you can reduce loads while charging. If not then adjust max bulk time up.

I did try and uplugged RV from Ground power , waited then plugged back in . The fault did clear but soon came back into Fault.

My Batteries are ( 3 ) 100 Ah 12V LifePro 4 . I have 3 on them installed. Are these considered bigger than charger

Max. recommended battery capacity for a Smart IP43 12750 is 500Ah, which you are under.

I guess you can adjust the bulk time up.

So does the Bulk Alarm have any affect on charging ? Can I just leave it, as right now i am on shore power ?

My batteries are (3) BattleBorn 100 Ah 12V LiePro 4 . Are these considered larger capacity?

at 300Ah, you will need at least 6 hours to get to 80% soc. Depends if you have any standing loads on the battery too.
Do enable expert mode to get at additional settings. Also, increase the tail current up to about 5%.

How do I enable expert mode ? and once in , what additional settings should I adjust ?

as posted above, just slide the button to the right.
Once there, check on the Absorption time (set to >=6 hrs, ) and stop after excessive bulk (can turn off).

Great , I found it . Thank you

I did toogle the bar to engage expert mode but the only thing highlighted is the Manual Recondition tab and two tabs above

also on the Battery Preset it has a drop down column with 5 to choose from, which one do I select

Lithiums tend to end up with a user defined set of parameters, set to match the manufacturer’s recommendations. Temperature coefficient should be set to zero.
As max bulk time was set to 10 hrs, that should be ok, unless you have loads on the battery whilst charging. Tail current should be enabled.

How do I enable the Tail Current to change based on my above email to access?
