@mpvader : can you elaborate on the (VHF) frequencies used by the old and new versions ?
I don’t have an Orion XS installed (yet) but as a HAM radio operator (73 from ON6BC) I am triggered by any interference a product might cause on “my” frequencies 
For the record: the 2 meter VHF band in the range from 144MHz up to 146MHz is assigned as “primary and exclusively” to HAM radio usage.
From the HAM radio viewpoint, the VHF range also includes the 50MHz up to 52MHz band.
Around 70MHz there’s also a (narrow) reserved range.
Most VHF marine radio sits in the 156MHz - 174MHz range but the entire range (apparently) is between 30MHz and 300MHz, likely carved up in multiple blocks.
