hi guys, so I installed my orion in a different car, this a patrol with s320cdi engine, non smart alternator, i can seem to get it to charge in engine shutdown detection mode, only works if I turn this off, ive tried adjusting the parameters, but no luck, I set it to cut off at 13v so it doesn’t charge for lobg after motor is switched off, any advise, or should I just run it as is? when car starts the app shows 12v on altinator, after 30 seconds it jumps to 13.73v, but orion isn’t switching on.
How are the other settings? So far we only know that its set to assume the engine is shutdown at 13V and that the alternator is capable of outputting at least 13.7V. The standard value for a regular alternator is 13.8V with delay and 14.0V with no delay. Is this set like this or differently? Does you alternator manage to output those 14.0V when the engine rpms are a bit raised?
hi there, my startup voltage was set at 14v, my altinator when measured only puts out a peak of 13.7v, its a bosch 200A altinator, think its time for a fix or replace, thanks for the help
