Not charging at full capacity

Hello,

The price for electry is negative, so I wanne use as much power from the grid as possible.
I also wanne load my battery from the grid, I’ve disabled the Peak Shaving and the limit on feed-in
The inverter power is set to 0, to ensure it is not discharged.

Looking at the vrm, it seems my battery is only loading at a max of 1.1Kw, why is that ?
I’ve set the setpoint and max chargepower to 5Kw

You have told the system to pull 5000W from grid (setpoint) so it is supplying loads and the balance is going to the battery.
Just set ESS to keep batteries charged, probably easier than messing with all the other settings.

Are you using an MP2 48/5000? Since you dont mention the exact model i can only assume given by the 5kW you put in. (I also assume the max charge power, which is set to 50kW, is an error and it should also be 5kW)

First of all, the 5000 in the model name describes apparent power in VA not real power in W. Your 48/5000 therefore is a 5kVA unit, which can output up to 4kW.

But since you want to charge in this case, you would need to use the max. charge current which is 70A. At 52V that would come out to 3640W, at 56V 3920W for example. Thats the max charge power you can expect from a 48/5000

Nick,

The grid setpoint still confuses me.
You mean that by setting it to 5K , it actually acts more like a peak-shaving setting ?
Meaning that the total power drawn from the grid is never more then 5K, is the load is lower, the execess goes into the battery.

You’re telling the inverter to maintain 5000W at the grid, which it is doing.
Your loads are 3800W, that leaves 1000W and some change for the inverter/charger to use, which is what is going to the battery.
