Non-victron charger/inverter with smartshunt as dc meter; benefit?

I have a non-victron charger/inverter in my setup of cerbo gx/mppts/smartshunt/orion xs.

What would be the befenit of adding another smartshunt as dc meter in line with the charger, if any?
The charger is working quite nicely; it charges my batteries, provides me with 230V from the inverter or wallpower when connected. Not as complex as a multiplus, but it does mean that it doesn’t show up as a separate unit on my remote console and that somehow bugs me.

I would like to get rid of this:

And/or at least see some charging info instead of simply a negative DC Load when charging.

Will a dc meter do the trick? Will it give me better insight in the charging process from the charger and make the charger more visible as a separate unit, represented by the dc meter?

For my system i have a midnite rosie inverter/charger along with a bunch of Victron sccs and cerbo.

Currently I just see it as a dc load (enabled in cerbo settings).

But I have vm-3p75ct energy meter to install to track Rosie more closely, particularly her l1 and l2 loads in case theres a big imbalance. So it should show up as ac loads.

With a smartshunt in energy meter mode it won’t show up in the vrm dashboard, just under devices in settings.
