Hello all, I have a problem with my BMS / MultiPlus and/or the battery. Basically the battery via VictronConnect is in good SoC & Cell balance, however the BMS Status LED (blue LED) is not blinking. The MultiPlus, which is connected via RF45 with the BMS is not turning on.
I think that the battery went into a deep(er) discharge when I left the inverter on while charging a device over some days and nights without charging via Solar/Alrernator.
My idea is, that certainly the BMS is blocking the MultiPlus but I don‘t know how to “wake it up”.
Since I’ve tried a completely new BMS but still couldn’t fix the problem, my idea is now that the battery Platine or maybe something else is blocking - but I don’t know what or why….
Already tried:
- Measured 13 V at battery and directly at MultiPlus terminals → all OK
- Checked the jumper at remote on/off at the BMS
- New BMS
- Charged battery with an external charger to get back to 14,1V using Victron Blue Smart IP22 Charger 12V 15A. (and disconnected and connected the BMS via RJ45 cable to Multiplus)
- Tried switching MultiPlus on/off multiple times → still no LED on MultiPlus (only pieps
- Disconnected VE.Bus from MultiPlus → MultiPlus started briefly, red LEDs appeared (low battery LED) → shows the MultiPlus is functional
- Disconnected BMS minus cable for 30 s → reconnected → no change, no status LED (still only blue LED for Cells > 2.8V and MultiPlus remains blocked)
- MultiPlus, BMS, and GX restarted multiple times → no effect
- Tried also a new RJ45 cable between the MultiPlus and the BMS
Here’s my system set up:
- Victron MultiPlus 12/3000/120
- Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12.8V 200Ah
- Victron VE.Bus BMS V2
- Victron Orion-Tr Smart
- Victron SmartSolar MPPT
- Victron Ekrano GX
- Victron SmartShunt
(The System is mounted in a Camper van)
I would be beyond grateful and happy if someone has an idea what I should do!
Thank you very much in advance!
