My Easysolar II Device is not producing any solar-power any more.
It has been charging the battery or feeding the grid ever since.
What ESS setting may prevent the Solar-Power from beeing used at cold temperatures?
The Solar-Voltage is there and the grid-feed setting has not changed.
The only change seems to be the temperature.
I am getting a very low power reading (0W-3W) from the MPPT despite bright sunshine. All communitations look fine.
I would expext the Multiplus II to feed the grid.
yes that is possible and that seems logic as well. I am not using a BMS, I do have a temperatur-sensor and the internal LIFePo4 characteristic is active.
The temperature reading is “3°C”.
Yesterday, the charging and grid-feeding worked again in the afternoon. Maybe that is because the temperature climbend to 5°C. The battery is located in my garage. This also tells me the system generally works.
So let’s assume the MPPT is throtteled down because the charging of the battery is limited due to the cold temperature.
By the way, I am getting a “Low Battery Alarm” while it is charged at 90% and the voltage beeing far away from the low threshold.
It is a 24V Battery and the voltage is at 26.2V.
Why is the system doing that? I would expect the ESS to still use the availabe solar power to feed the grid as it does when the battery is fully charged.
I strongly beleive my issue is not a malfunction. It is a controlled reaction of the system that I just need to understand.
