Recently received an RMA replacement Cerbo gx mk2. After updating from the shipped firmware to firmware v3.73, and then to firmware v3.74, there is no backup firmware to restore. Is there a setting somewhere to enable this? I can’t find one and don’t remember having to do so on the original unit. I’d like to roll back to v3.73 but is not there, and neither is the original shipped firmware I update from to v3.73. Any ideas?

Thanks, as you’re aware from my previous post I’m aware of that. I’m specifically confused about why the backup firmware was not stored on the Cerbo gx after the online update. This is a separate question regarding the backup functionality and I assume not related the any specific firmware version?
As I’m away from home presently I don’t have the capability to write a firmware file to a micro sd card or usb stick and I was expecting there to be a backup firmware to restore and I’m confused why there isn’t? Any ideas?
Yeah, thats what I thought and I was expecting to see 3.73 there. Clearly it’s not. Hence my confusion. So I can safely assume there is no setting to enable the backup functionality?

So based on your previous comment I think I understand what has happened. When you made the first 3.75 available I attempted to upgrade online. This failed and my Cerbo rebooted. I’ve since checked my mobile broadband speed and it has dropped to less than 10 Mbits so I think the online update either timed out or failed completely. I guess the backup firmware 3.73 was erased at the start of the firmware 3.75 download. As 3.75 failed that left me with 3.74 and no backup?
Tomorrow I’ll sort out my broadband speed and try to install 3.75 - I think if you try remotely you’ll likely have the same issue with my broadband speed currently. I appreciate your offer though so thank you anyway.
We have two images, the running one and the backup. When updating, we don’t change the running firmware, it will go into the the alternative image. And since that will become in an unknown state before completing the update, we will refuse to boot that. And yes if it is a network issue, there is little I can do about it. (And appreciated you didn’t tell anyone else )
