NMEA 2000 Connection for Cerbo GX and Lynx Shunt

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Cerbo GX and a Lynx Shunt, and I’m looking to integrate them into my boat’s NMEA 2000 network. My network’s backbone already has two resistors installed at both ends.

I’m wondering if I can daisy-chain the Lynx Shunt and the Cerbo GX and then connect just one of them to the NMEA 2000 network. From my understanding, both Victron devices can utilize the existing resistors in the network, meaning I wouldn’t need to use the resistors provided by Victron.

My main concern is whether daisy-chaining these two devices is a valid approach, or if I should instead connect each one separately to the backbone using a dedicated drop cable.

Has anyone set up a similar configuration? Any advice or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!
