New Smartsolar MPPT 100/50 not charging

Hello,

i have a new Victron Smartsolar charge controller, the MPPT100/50 model. I installed this with 2 215watt Callsun 12v panels connected in series on top of my Class A motorhome. I had to replace my original Inverter/charger so i went with the 3k Mutiplus2 and a Cerbo GX to tie every thing together. I also changed out the house battery to a Vatrer 560ah LiPo4 at the same time. The first 2 days the solar controller seemed to work as when i first hooked to solar i had left the battery drain down to check function then connected shore power as i needed to had the ac on. I then left for a trip, on the first day the solar was working while driving as seen in the attached screen shot but then the next day only 1watt of charge current. I have checked the voltage with a Fluke mulimeter and the voltage corresponds with what the screen says. I have checked all the connections and even remade the extension cables from the panel to roof MC-4 input (factory installed solar prep). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Mike

did you program the mppt to the correct settings for this battery ?

Yes, initially used the rotary switch 7 setting ( LiPo4). Tried user defined settings for what the battery called for.

Do check your battery connections, that the battery is not fully charged, and see if the battery voltage is the same as is indicated by the MPPT battery voltage.

The controller may still be set to the lead-acid settings, and the battery’s BMS has shut down due to overvoltage.

Yes all voltage readings at the controller terminals are what the app says.

yes checked all connections, let battery drain down and still doesn’t charge, plug shore power back on and the Multiplus2 charges normally so battery BMS works correctly.

Do you have any details about your setup?
