Need guidance on wiring up a multiplus 2

Hey everybody!

I’m completely new to this and I’m trying to research and then do the install myself. I have a 2021 Jayco Northpoint.

Is a 50 amp service trailer. I purchased the Victron Energy MultiPlus-II Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger, UL-Certified, 12/3000/120-50 120V. I have a 4 conductor wire on my trailer, but only see 3 connection points.

Any advice on hot to wire this up would be super helpful!

You appear to have purchased the 1x120 model, which cannot accept 4 wires, it’s single-leg only, so L1, N, G. The 2x120 model can accept 4 wires: L1, L2, N, G.

Since L2 on a 2x120v model is passthrough only in any case, back before there was a 2x120 model RVers would usually just have their installer run L2 straight to the panel, with only L1 going through the MultiPlus. I’d suggest having your installer look at that as an option, or else discuss with your supplier the possibility of returning the unit you bought so that you can instead purchase the 2x120 model.

In either case, you or your installer can find the full user and installation manuals here:

1x120 model as you have: MultiPlus-II 120V

2x120 model: MultiPlus-II 2x120V

Justin, thanks for the reply. Is this not the correct one?

Or is this the correct one?

It is not. I don’t know how they’re listed on Amazon, but you’re looking specifically for “2x120”, or part number PMP122305102, in theory should be priced around $1088

EDIT, whups sorry I responded while you were posting. The second one you posted is the correct one to accept 4 wires, yes.

Justin. You are a life saver. Thank you sir!!
