Multiplus firmware archive

Is firmware version 2611497 or 2611470 archived anywhere? I’m in the middle of setting up a parallel pair of inverters, one with 497 the other with 470 and I only want to change one of them….if possible. Ve professional only seem to list 433 and 459 in the 4xx range.

Curious as to why only some of the older versions are still retained..

At Victron Professional and in the Dropbox there is a text file with a link to a FW archive with all(?) FW files.

Thanks, missed that. 497 is there….

One last question: Where does the downloaded file need to be for VE connect to find it please?

If you mean VEFlash: it will present a “Browse” button to select the firmware file.
(VictronConnect should do the same)

Why don’t you use VictronConnect and upgrade both inverters to the latest 556 firmware ?
It has vast improvements over 470 and 497.

see above for reasons.

What improvements?

So Ve connect will only upgrade to the latest version not a user selected version?

Reasons: you provided “I only want to change one”, but I don’t see a reason to keep a [Victron] device on legacy firmware.

The improvements are listed in a file in the downloads folder: Victron Energy - Victron Professional

VictronConnect will, by default, upgrade to the latest Stable firmware but it also has an option to provide your own firmware file.

When configuring a parallel or multiphase system with VictronConnect and the software detects that your devices are running old firmware, it will (should) offer the option to upgrade the firmware on all devices to the latest version, before configuring them in parallel or multiphase.
