Unit is on a sailoat.
Trouble free for years. Had a close lightning strike few weeks ago.
Cant get it to reset. Is not working. When I have battery hooked up to it, all the front panel lights come on.
I have the mk dongle and its a no go with it.

No, that sounds cooked. If the Mk3 won’t connect, then at the minimum a new control board is needed - depending on age.
Given that you had a close lightning strike, I would replace the entire unit, given some damage may remain hidden and cause problems later.
Also have a look at your grounding and lightning protection systems, these are essential to maintain integrity of electronic systems. Ref Nigel Caulder’s (?) book.
Grounding is solid.
So, a panel can be replaced on these units?
Man, paid alot for this. Kinda hard to just go replace.
I would try to do a FW update with VEflash.
The availability of spare parts depends on how old the unit is (new or old processor).
What is the serial number (HQ…)?
Is there a surge protection device installed in the system, especially on the AC input?
