Im running version v1.25.
and I have the older model multi rs with one mppt tracker, come to think of it - thats probably the reason I am getting more amps per mppt. I remember when the dual tracker multi rs came out, the power was 3000W per tracker, and my single mppt is 4000w
found a old data sheet for the single tracker multi rs. 18Amp pv input limit, and indeed in the data sheet of the dual mppt it is 12 Amps I also see the short circuit current is 16A vs 30A
based on this (old) newfound information I would rather suggest you keep to Victrons specification for warranty purposes.
