I have observed a behaviour in a Multi RS that is suboptimal, a bug in my opinion.
The Multi RS 3 phase system has a total DC charging capacity of 300A. This site’s BMS signal a CCL of 168A.
When the system requires a grid charge (ESS min SoC, scheduled charge, ESS mode). The entire 168A of DC charging comes from the grid and the PV is effectively shut down. There was almost 6000W PV available in the screenshot below:
This behaviour does not appear when the BMS CCL>300A. In that case PV is used effectively and the shortfall is supplemented by the grid. This is the desired behaviour and should true even when the CCL is lower.
No, the battery is not too small. It is a 30kWh pack, the CCL is simply < system max.
No DESS, no DVCC charge limit, scheduled charge windows allow discharge from PV and Battery when above SoC. Multi RSs are on v1.29 and Cerbo on v3.73
