Hi!

If I have a MPPT, helping a PV system to charge LiFePO4 48V battery, will the MPPT follow the sets of:
DVCC - Maximum charge voltage?
ESS - Minimum SOC?
And make use of SmartShunt announced SOC?

Thank you!

If you have a victron inverter, yes.

Yes but unnecessary to prevent overcharge if you have programmed correctly. Unless you have other reasons for it. [Explained here](https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/CCGX/en/dvcc---distributed-voltage-and-current-control.html#UUID-32d47a79-576b-92d5-f93f-b9cc70c38083).

Yes with a GX. Which you need for all the features you are talking about.

Yes, I do have a Cerbo GX and the MPPT will be connected to it via a VE.Direct cable. At the same time, SmartShunt is also connected to the Cerbo via VE.Direct cable.

This said, should I enable “VE.Smart Networking” on the SmartShunt or I can get everything properly “synchronized” by just connecting them to the Cerbo GX?

My MPPT controllers are connected to my Cerbo GX and Quattro and the Cerbo manages the MPPT controllers output voltage (this is set by the BMS) .

Connections are via VE.Direct cables.

If working correctly under Devices, select the MPPT controller and it should show ‘External Control’ under State, under Network operation it should show

Networked Yes

Network Status Slave

Mode setting ext. Control & BMS

BMS Contolled Yes.

No. The Cerbo/gx is the network manager.

\*[VE.Smart Networking is designed for small systems that do not have a GX device -](https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/VE.Smart_Networking/en/limitations.html#UUID-5a5bad6a-c688-e21b-0b0c-cc89011032a7) such as a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX - to control the chargers
