There is missing button “Mark all as read” or I can’t find it.
I don’t think this is something currently available on the platform.
Unfortunately not able to cheat the system like that, have to have read them all for it to count 
Can the Dismiss button be enabled?

I have the start page defined as “Latest”. There it isn’t.
And I believe it will make sense to Dismiss the Latest…
Believe or not, it’s only available for the new and unread sections.
There is no setting to change it otherwise.
Those New and Unread buttons never appeared on my browser?

Cleared the Firefox cache and the New and Unread sections started to appear.
Although, even if one dismisses the messages, they are not marked as read… so no luck.
That’s the expected behaviour. A post is only marked read if it is actually read, that can’t be overridden.
But you can dismiss the notification that it is unread.
I suppose it’s normal, because of the community engine that has that ranking system with topics viewed, messages read and so on and having a button for marking all read will defeat the purpose…
