Match an existing Multiplus

I have an EasySolar II GX which includes a MultiPlus II, with a lot of battery storage and an AC coupled PV inverter following the factor 1.0 rule.

I want to expand the AC coupled PV inverter capacity since we use most power during the day (charging EVs). As I understand it, to expand the current outfit I would need to add a Multiplus very closely matching the one embedded in the EasySolar II GX to continue meeting the Factor 1.0 rule. Same firmware (fixed at manufacture?), same software release. I would split the battery between them- not a problem.

So how do I find a MultiPlus that matches the one I already have?

Am I over-thinking this as my wife accuses me of?

How old is the EasySolar?

No, it is a problem.
A VE.Bus system always should be connected together to the same battery pack.

To add, note the new compatibility section of the document referenced above. There are very specific requirements for what can go together.
Parallel wiring also needs to be symmetrical, that can be a challenge with an easysolar.
imho, you’re better off selling your easysolar and replacing with a larger inverter. More expensive, much simpler and less room for error.

do i understand it right - you want an aditional PV inverter and split the PV Panel installation?

Why not just connect it on the AC-in / house net directly?

since AC coupled PV inverters are on the AC Out of the hybrid inverter(s), is that not the same thing caught by the same Factor 1.0 rule?
