Hello!
I have 3x Multiplus 2, 48V 15000VA, this means 36kW power.
36000 / 52V = about 700A

The problem is that I cannot find any ANL fuse bigger than 500A in the Lynx Shunt!

So, I must not use Lynx Shunt and go with the old Smart Shunt?

Each inverter with its own fuse. So 250A or 300A fuse.
If you have only one centralized DC power source, then yes, you need an 1000A shunt.
As per battery, don’t know 1000A battery… Only about 300A max and then you connect each one with its own fuse.

You combined all batteries into one pack?

On bigger installs, batteries are usually grouped, for example six into group one, next six into group two. Then each group gets its own fuse. This reduces the current that needs to flow across a single fuse

Then this goes to the busbars/lynx. There you may need a 1kA shunt

Same for the inverters, each inverter gets its own fuse, on bigger units like the 10k and 15k you can use a fuse for each positive cable

For example, we used 36x Pylontech US3000 in groups of six, each group was connected by two sets of cables and thus two 100A fuses. This was supplying six Quattro 10k, each was connected by two sets of cables and two 200A fuses as well. No shunt, just busbars

I’m talking about fuse inside the Lynx Shunt!

I have separate fuses on battery (175A), on the 2xpower in (175A) and on the 2x distributor (300A on each of the 2x95smm cables/victron)

Between Power In and Distributor there is a Lynx Shunt with an ANL fuse!
That fuse is max 500A and I need more!

Gemini said:

> The Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can, in its standard configuration, is limited to 500A continuous current. This limitation applies to both the 500A and 1000A versions of the Lynx Shunt when used with the Lynx distribution system. While the 1000A version has a larger busbar, the shunt itself, which measures current flow, is rated for a maximum of 500A.

Sorry, my mistake.
You’re right, inside must be used a 1000A fuse… or a dummy busbar as the docs are saying…

And don’t believe all that Gemini is saying… 😉
Just use the official docs. The [datasheet](https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Datasheet-Lynx-Shunt-VE.Can-EN-.pdf) and the [manual](https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Lynx_Shunt_VE.Can_-_M10/182953-Lynx_Shunt_VE_Can __M10__ Manual-pdf-en.pdf) and they say that 1000A is supported continuously.

Lol what, why would the 1000A be limited to 500A 😂

Toss AI where it belongs

Thank you!
RTFM should always be the first step!

**But I have the M8 version, DAMN!**

[https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Lynx\_Shunt\_VE.Can\_-\_M8/24534-Lynx\_Shunt\_VE\_Can\_\_M8\_\_Manual-pdf-en.pdf](https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Lynx_Shunt_VE.Can_-_M8/24534-Lynx_Shunt_VE_Can __M8__ Manual-pdf-en.pdf)

Well, I’ll use a copper busbar instead, non-Victron.

I’ve ordered 2m of copper busbar 30x5mm.
The original victron busbar is 30x8mm, so I’ll just use 2 busbars on top of each-other (30x10mm), so the electrons will flow full of happiness.
