Lynx Power IN M8 vs M10

I have heard that the Lynx M8 is either going out of production or that it has stopped production and that only M10 will be available going forward. I understand the mods here will be reluctant to verify one way or the other.

Having said that is the M10 version compatible with M8 version Lynx parts ? Or is M8 only compatible with M8 parts and M10 only compatible with M10 parts (Distributor/Shunt/BMS etc)

@on_a_mission The busbar connections are M10 as circled in yellow and therefore not compatible with M8 and the M8 version are indeed no longer available to order.

Thanks for the info.

So going forward there will be (or is already) a M10 Lynx Power In / M10 Lynx Class T Power In / M10 Lynx Distributor / M10 Lynx Shunt ? Since I will not be using Victron NG batteries then I suppose there is no use of a Lynx BMS for me?

Are there any other M10 Lynx parts to the system I have not mentioned ?

These are the available Lynx M10 products. If you use Victron Lithium batteries they will require the standard BMS and if non-Victron, no as the Victron BMS’es are only suited to Victron batteries.

Thanks

Is it only the outside bus bar joiner connection that is M10 on the M10 power-in and the 4x +ve and 4x -ve internal connections are still M8 or the internal connections are also M10? Can M8 lug fit into the M10 ok?

@powersquad See above image. The M8 lugs are still for power cables and MEGA fuses. The products images section on the Victron website is a good place for answers
