I have been asked to see if I can find out any info on this Mppt 250/100
1 what may have caused this Damage
2 Where is this Built states US is that correct
3 Is it a Genuine Victron Product & if so how would it arrive in au from Victron
Why does it NOT show Voltages
Your Help is Appreciated
On the genuine models there are some big inductors on the models about there.
I have seen models running really hot but never changed the moulding on the mppt like that.
To check authentic put the serial number into the support page.

Check the serial number on the support site.
You can also see high-res images on the product site:
Martin:
Aluminium
Yep. Hence i was wondering how it would soften like that. Even the placement is not right of the pots.

If it has been configured before, then you will need to connect to it via the VC app to see what it has been set to do.

Hi Nick
No I don’t have it but AFAIK you can’t configure VC app without DC Battery connected to the MPPT so what to do if Not Known ?

If it’s powered by PV you can access it as well. Connecting it to a battery is fine, just isolate any solar first.
