Lead-Calcium batteries storage

Lead batteries storage

Hi everyone, I have a question about Lead-Calcium batteries storage. I have my sailing boat in the Caribbean and every year I put it ashore for about six months during hurricane season. In this time the boat is always closed and I believe the internal temperature can rise to about 40 degrees Celsius (or maybe more?) So, in this situation, what’s the best way to storage the batteries? Should I leave them connected to the solar panels (I have a 300W solar panel) or disconnect them completely?

Thanks.

at 40 degees the batteries are self discarging. So it is better to charge them with lowered voltage . But it is very important to compensate the voltage by using a temperatur sensor

Thanks.
