I have an EasySolar-II 48/5000/70-50 MPPT 250/100 GX and a Phoenix Inverter 48/5000 (not the smart version I don’t believe).

They are part of a product that has been given to my team at work without any documentation about the connection between them.

I am trying to get them to run in parallel but I get error #25 and a suggestion to update. I’ve seperated and updated both to the most recent software update but keep getting the same code as if there are more updates I could perform.

Is there any information I’m missing on these or are they just incompatible? These aren’t Victron products I’ve tried to connect so far.

The EasySolar-II consists of an MP2 internally. It can only be put in a parallel system with another MP2 (or EasySolar-II), in this case MP2 48/5000.

Same for the Phoenix inverter. It can only be paralleled with another Phoenix inverter of the same type.

But you can run them off of the same battery of course. I believe you could even control the Phoenix inverter through the GX of the EasySolar, you could connect an Mk3 dongle to the GXs USB port and to the Phoenixs VE.Bus port. At least it works with “secondary” MPs, so it should also work with VE.Bus inverters.
