Introducing dbus-starlink

I’ve been using this for a while now to feed the GPS signal from my Starlink to the system, mostly for showing the info in VRM.

I pushed it up to github so others can use it if they are interested: GitHub - jbergler/dbus-starlink: Use your Starlink to provide GPS data for your Venus OS installation

You can add it in Package Manager:

  • name: dbus-starlink
  • user: jbergler
  • branch: main

And remember to enable local access to your GPS data in the Starlink app
Settings → Advanced → Debug Data → Starlink Location → Allow access on local network.

Any idea whether this wil;l work with a Mini?

Yep, I use it with a mini. Should theoretically work on all dishes.

Works great! Thank you. FYI finding the debug option in the starlink was a small adventure.

I know I’m being greedy…, but is there a way to get the Starlink-GPS position to appear on the Boat Page on gui-v2?
