I need two 120V legs for my house

Hello,

I am running 48V system with a Victron Energy Quattro 48v 5000VA
I am running stand alone so no grit power input.
can i get a second leg of 120 or do i need a second inverter?

Thank you all for the support.

Touareg

You will need another inverter to generate a second leg

Out of curiosity is this for a 120/240 split phase configuration?

If you’re using a split phase panel, and aren’t using any 240v appliances you could just feed both bus bars from the same leg/inverter. That’s a bit of a cowboy style but if this is off grid she’s cowboy rules! Lol

Hi Dave,

I was thinking that just wanted another cowboy’s input. Anyhow solved my problem.

Thanks a bunch.

So sometningcstrsnge happened today.
Charging as normal. Suddenly charger stopped and input lugs show 234v where my PV never goes higher then 199v

I’m assuming you’re running lithium batteries? I’d venture a guess that the bms could have stopped it from charging. It’s completely normal to see a higher voc if the charger has stopped or the bms has cut off

And when switch of all PV input I still show 129v dc??? At charger controller input lugs

Yes Lithium, but how do I reset BMS altogether strange, everything was working for months.

Although all strange

Unless something has failed, the bms will automatically reset after the fault is resolved (high temperature, over current, over voltage, ect)
