The MPPT 450/100 charger has a “Charger Enabled” setting which can turn off the output via Victron Connect. When selected, a note comes up and says “[..] This is intended for maintenance purposes only.”
Would it be bad to use this option for days or weeks at a time? If so, is there a better way to disable the MPPT remotely?
The Multi RS 6000 has an option to disable each solar array individually, would be great to have this in the Smart Solar 450/100 as well.
If a GX device is installed, the Remote jumper of MPPT 450/100 could be wired to one of the GX relay and use that from console, VRM or on schedule.
I also use the Charger Enable from Victron Connect, from time to time, truly on maintenance purposes. Maybe this software switch is not exposed/usable outside of Victron Connect so not really versatile.
