hey justin. apologies that was not very well worded. i changed it to “Help with hardware list for portable battery box”.
meaning i am trying to get a compatible list of products together so i can keep an eye out for buying them and the meantime i will study the hardware specs and make sure i can figure out why they all would work well together.
so i’m trying to get help with an actual hardware list and then i will try to see if i am sure i understand how all the numbers relate.
right now i just have the fact i think a 300 Ah batrry is what i shouid use.
Since no one really knows what you’re trying to do other than you, I doubt anyone can give you a hardware list - that’d be a better conversation with your local Victron dealer and/or system installer, to sit down and determine what your requirements are and find the best solutions for your use-case that will work within your constraints.
In a camping forum there was a good link to a guy´s homepage which collected some knowledge about Li battery systems.
you have to be very careful where to mount the battery if you want to use it in the winter time (especially charging the battery, discharging with high currents)
You have to get
the cells,
the BMS or
the Balancer and the suitable Protection circuits,
Batterycase or -housings with fire protection/extinguisher and
climate control.
Also some materials like
measuring equipment,
add. mounting parts (flexible Bridges, insulation, Tools (crimping, soldering,…)
not to forget, much know how about electrics (e.g. High Power Fusing, Vehicular electrics, …)
