First time building a system. I have 8 280Ah cells and a JKBMS + some Victron equipment which I will ask about at a later date. There seems to be some conflicting information out there about 2P4S wiring. In the image, some show it with the pink cable and some show without it (12V system). Can you please enlighten me if the pink is in or out and also, where the balance cables should go in this configuration.
As long as between group 1 and 2 and between 3 and 4 you have only one connection, then you can go with only one connection between 2 and 3 and omit the pink connection…
But make sure the links will withstand those 600 amps…
Balance cables can go to any poles on the green links, because the balance current is way lower than the main current and the big links will carry OK their current.
