GX Digital Input - Pulse Counter Water Meter Consumption Off-Grid Water Pumping

Wondering if anyone has successfully implemented pulse counting of a typical water meter using the Ekrano/ Cerbo or Extender 150 Digital Input.

Have a Diehl Altair V4 water meter, that’s DIN 15 which outputs 1 pulse per litre.

Have got a clip on Ti pulse transmitter.

I guess the multiplier should be 1.000000

I’ve used googles Ai to “design” me the node red code to take the dry pulsed outputs from a Vector Instruments anemometer and their resistive wind vane with great sucess. The process required for your application is similar.

This was because the Easysolar Installed in this project, whilst having inbuilt GX does not have full capability including digital inputs or relays as a Cerbo or Ekrano has

For similar off-grid applications, and future projects, I would recommended separate Inverter, MPPT and GX device rather than an Easysolar, as the limited GX functionality is a bit of a disappointment.

The pulse counter works very well and the Victron data accuracy validated to 99.2% against the dial on the meter over a 2 hour test period.
