Hi,
It would be nice if one could dismiss a topic from the list of topics presented as ‘new’ or ‘unread’ e.g.by adding a check box or widgit, to dismiss those topics in which one is not interested in.
It would also be nice if when one clicks on the ‘replies’ label, the list is sorted in increasing order first, rather than in decreasing order. I usually want the list of topics either sorted by newest, or by least replies.

Hi Mike.

In the top left of the page should be a “topic” icon.

 ![Screenshot 2025-05-13 at 10.07.24](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/victron/original/3X/c/9/c97c949ebb6b5282697477e64707acf4a2494cb2.png)

If you select this it will allow you to select specific topics, you can then choose the bulk actions button and select “update notifications” and choose “muted”. This should silence it permanently.

For replies, if I click the heading a second time, it changes to ascending order. Or am I misunderstanding you?

Yes, There is a little misunderstanding here, It is individual posts in a topic that I want to dismiss, so this is my fault for not using the correct terminology.

Ah ok.
Unfortunately discourse isn’t wired that way. You can mute users, but that would be site wide.
