My PV meter (SDM120M), connected via the official Victron FT232R USB-RS485 cable, works on Venus OS 3.75 but no longer receives Modbus responses on Venus OS 3.79. Exactly the same hardware, wiring, slave ID and baud rate. Downgrading to 3.75 resolves the issue immediately.
I tested various script modifications, but it is not related to the upgrade from Python 3.8 to 3.12.
The PV meter is detected and connected, but does not return any data.
After downgrading to Venus OS 3.75, the meter started working again immediately after rebooting following installation of the (old) firmware.
