@packrat I have purchased Visio from [Microsoft Visio 2021 Professional: Lifetime License for Windows | New Atlas](https://deals.newatlas.com/sales/microsoft-visio-2021-professional-lifetime-license-for-windows-2) at a price well worth it if you have a Windows setup. Keep an eye out for these deals.

@janneman where do you get those component pictures into [draw.io](http://draw.io)?
is there a URL that we could import from?

@janneman Would you mind sharing the drawio file for your setup.

My setup is nearly identical (including the 10m overspanning, the 3phase SolarEdge on AC side, the net attached meter etc) with very few exceptions (3 bateries instead of 2, no DC solar)

Would be great to have a clear diagram of it that I can hang in the meterkast

I use Visio Professional. It has shape libraries for various types of engineering diagrams but for the diagrams were are talking about here you can use the basic version of Visio and the standard block diagram shapes. You can create your own symbols (Shapes in Visio) by simply overlaying an image of a component onto a standard rectangle shape and adding some attachment points, then save them . I don’t share these publicly because there is probably copyright on the imagery but you can easily make nice diagrams this way. Add the shapes to your diagram and connect them. The wired connections (Connectors in Visio) will autoroute when you shift components around to tidy up the diagram and they can also be manually adjusted. You can assign numbers and save information for each shape and connector and export this to a ‘bill of materials’ spreadsheet if you want. Visio can also do dimensioned drawings but CAD tools are far better for this.

Does this run on Windows 11? And is there a library of Victron objects?

@xavierlh1 Yes Visio is a Microsoft product and I use it on Win 11 Pro. No library for Victron objects in the public domain, but you can create your own as you may only need a few devices and not the whole Victron catalogue.

I ran into the same problem with drawio / Visio — they work, but they’re pretty manual.

Now I just use Wireframe ([www.usewireframe.com](http://www.usewireframe.com)). It’s specifically for off-grid systems — you drag and drop components, and it auto-sizes cables and fuses + flags safety issues.

Might be useful if you want something a bit more purpose-built than general diagram tools.

Hi all,

I have created a new QElectroTech library including Víctron components, such as Easysolar II, Multi, MPPT chargers, ET112,EM24, etc, as well as some other useful components not available In the default library, like permanent and transient surge protectors (2P and 4P}, etc

Everything is explained in the video

[![](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/victron/original/3X/f/1/f10da5d7bf968a5925e05d7c484fe9aa37604b4e.jpeg "Librerias QElectroTech para sistemas Victron Energy") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5limY9THsX8)

In the description (in both Spanish and English) you will find a link to GitHub, where you can download the libraries. If anyone needs help importing libraries, that is also explained in the video. All absolutely free

This is really cool, unfortunalty it comes short with several victron devices (no bigger mppts or quattro). The trial version also does not seem to offer much and pricing is pretty steep to try things out.

Wireframe looks interesting but with limited roaming data, I’d prefer a download. [Draw.io](http://Draw.io) can be downloaded.

How much data does WF consume??
