Feature request: Ekranos LP level display; show 'gallons remaining' to 1 decimal place

I have Mopeka LP tank sensors. I don’t fully fill my two 30# tanks so that I can a) manage the tongue weight of the trailer and b) so they are not as heavy.

Propane is sold in gallons in my [US] State so what I currently do is take the percentage shown on the Ekranos display and compute the gallons to one decimal place. Where the fraction is important since I’ll buy up a full gallon when the faction is under 0.5, and not if it’s 0.5 and above.

Also, showing to 1 decimal place will present a clearer picture of how much propane remains in a tank that registers as having 1 gallon left.

I really like that the Ekranos unit displays the actual level and not just the percentage.
Percentages are cute, and I know Mopeka’s phone app only shows them, but they don’t give actual level info that’s more useful when making the decision to run into town to get a propane tank refilled while you’re out camping vs. waiting until you get back home.

This is a good idea for small tanks, my LPG tanks show single digits. However, it is not as simple because I do not want my multi hundred gallon water, fuel and waste tanks showing decimal places. It would need to auto show or hide the decimal point based on the tank size.

It would need to auto show or hide the decimal point based on the tank size.

Or auto show/hide based on the ratio involved for each sensor.
For example, when your tank is full at 7 gallons each gallon is of more interest than when your tank is full at 300 gallons.
Not sure what the ratio sweet spot would be however.

Although I don’t see it being that big of a deal to show 2 extra characters (a period and a numeric digit) per LPG sensor on the display. But then I only have two small tanks being monitored.
