Off-grid setup only: The VRM graph shows that after updating to 3.80~44 on 28/08/2026 (green line), daily energy consumption is displayed as having fallen by more than 50%, even though actual consumption is in line with the previous average (approx. 14 kWh). This is evident from the battery capacity falling, even though the graph shows solar yield significantly exceeding consumption. The GX displays the instantaneous consumption correctly.
Hi, have you tried rolling back to the 3.79 GA release to confirm it is not a coincidence?
Do you use nodered and any virtual devices or third-party meters etc?
I have the same/similar problem in the version that has now finally been released.
The PV production is also reported as too low in my case — it consists of 2x MPPT charge controllers and 1x PV inverter, measured via a Shelly Pro 3PM.
So it’s clear that consumption and solar production in VRM between around 10 am and 1 pm don’t match the actual data, which EVCC also obtains directly via the GX.
You need to take a close look at anything that relies on Shellies: in version 3.80, a bug affecting energy meter readings was fixed.
As a result, Shellies that had been counting up to that point no longer count.
The instantaneous reading still works.
For PV inverter Shellies, the Shelly must be physically wired so that instantaneous consumption is reported as negative in the Shelly app. Only then does the Shelly write to its “feed-in meter”, which the GX now reads for solar production.
So if your solar production is missing, the consumption calculated from it will be wrong too.
