ESS assistant not appearing in MPII

Hi,

I recently got a Multiplus II installed and want to operate it as ESS. I can access it via wifi or remotely and have configured the ESS assistant in VEconfigure. However, after uploading the configuration file the ESS does not appear in the MPII UI. It must have been uploaded correctly because when I download the MPII configuration again and open the configuration file it shows the assistant configuration. Just MPII does not recognize it.

Is there maybe any setting I have to active in order the ESS to show up?

Firmware is 3.66.

Many thanks in advance,
Lythie

Reboot the Multiplus.

done, no success

What firmware is the inverter on?

I just have one single MPII GX - in case it is important

Die Einstellungen auch an den MultiPlus gesendet/hochgeladen?
Wie machst du die Einstellungen?

I go to VRM-Portal > Geräteliste > VE.Configure Fernsteuerung > Download rvsc

Open rvsc-file in VE.configure-Software > make settings > close (and save changs in rvsc-file)

Back to VRM-portal > upload file > read “success”-message

Go to MPII > expect the ESS assistant to appear > doesn’t appear

But..

Go to VRM> download vrsc-file from the MPII > open in VEconfigure > here i see, that the freshly downloaded vrsc from MPII contains my settings from before. So the upload has succeeded. But still ESS assistant didn’t appear in MPII.

How did you do a reboot? In the software?, switch at the bottom? or did you completly disconnected all power (ac/dc)?

What gridcode have you set?

The solution was do change to the “large” version of the firmware. Then suddenly the ESS assistant appeared.

Thanks for your support here!

Thats really strange… looks like a bug or something

My system is on normal and firmware is 3.64

@lythie The large image is only if you need node-red so peculiar as others said, but at least it works.
