Enphase Envoy communicates, but the measured values don't match

Best community,

I have a new system with a Multi RS Solar, a GX device via Raspberry Pi, an Enphase solar system, and a 16.2 kWh battery with a JK BMS.

After some problems with Enphase support, I now have communication with the Envoy, but the values measured in the Envoy do not match the values in VRM.

I have a three-phase system from the grid, and the Enphase system with 11 panels runs on one phase.

I connected the three phases and three CTs from the grid to the Envoy’s consumption input, and the single phase from the solar panels with one CT to the production section of the Envoy.

When I log in to the Envoy, this is also displayed correctly in the system.

But when I look in VRM, my Enphase system suddenly has three phases. My AC out also has three phases, but the grid only has one.

I also cannot reconcile the wattages shown for the grid and the PV system.

And, of course, the Multi RS readings do not make sense either.

The system continuously oscillates back and forth, and when it charges the battery, it keeps charging beyond the float value until the BMS disconnects the battery because of overcharging.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Does anyone know how I can configure the phases via VRM?

Under Remote control, Settings, Debugging and Development, I can see the phases for the PV and AC, but I cannot change anything.

Please expand on what these CT’s are connected to.
Do you have a supported energy meter?
Do you have other energy meters in a PV role?

Have you been through all the relevant docs and training>

the CTs are connected to the Envoy, Nick

the Envoy should therefore serve as an energy meter; that seemed like the right reason to connect the Envoy IQ gateway to the VRM.

the Envoy has its own energy meter.

so no auxiliary energy meter,

so 3 CTs on phases 1, 2 and 3, and 1 CT on the wiring coming from my microinverters.

I’ve gone through quite a lot of documentation, and I also have an experienced Victron expert in my network, but he doesn’t have an Enphase installation.

I haven’t had any training

Ok. So does the device(s) appear in the gx device list, remain connected, and report meaningful data?
You can chart what is there via advanced widgets so you have something to compare.

The Envoy is far too slow

For ESS, you need a fast energy meter

Conclusion

If I want to start using ESS, do I have to buy an energy meter and wire everything twice?

CTs and power supply to the energy meter

Thanks, Nick. I wanted to send screenshots this evening, but if it doesn’t work with the Envoy, there’s no point.

Thanks, Ferd, for your contribution, even though I’m less pleased with it.

The Envoy cannot be used as an energy meter for a Victron system; it is only for the Enphase system/app itself.
