Enabling old UI on latest version v3.6

Hi all

I am brand new to the Venus OS on a raspberry 3B. I’ve installed the latest venus os version (it is showing Firmware 3.60 ~ 25).

Is it still possible to enable the remote console / gui-v1 on this version?

Even though I like the new ui very much, I would like to have access to the SetupHelper from GitHub - kwindrem/SetupHelper: Helper functions to simplify writing setup scripts that modify VenusOs functionality. The package includes automatic reinstallation of the package after a VenusOs update..

Yes you can currently select the UI you wish to use. However, you can’t run the New UI locally and the Classic UI remotely or visa-versa, or at least that is the way it was the last time I checked.

Okay - hope also the hdmi output for the new UI will appear quite soon. That would be great :slight_smile:

Currently it isn’t high on the todo list, there was a topic where people with dev experience keen to assist could volunteer their services.
So just to set expectations I wouldn’t expect it in the very near future.
