I swapped out a Cerbo for an Ekrano as I was using mods and it seemed the Cerbo was always CPU limited, now I’m only trying to run SerialBattery and Battery Aggregator on Guiv2 but it also can’t handle it, or I have some strange AC /DC interference or something causing heavy loads on the Ekrano.
I assumed it was SerialBattery, so opened an issue there first with my logs:
What should normal load averages be? Here I have uninstalled all the mods and it’s vanilla v3.55 but still the odd spike, is this expected loads for v3.55 on an Ekrano?
I see there are tons of threads on high CPU usage, I had expected the Ekrano should be better suited, but maybe I have to stick with Gui V1 as that doesn’t seem to have the load issues, and then get a Pi to run NodeRed for hot water diversion control.
This is after installing SerialBattery again but with 3 second polling, and no other mods, I switched to Gui V1 whilst at night. Maybe Gui v2 with mods is too much for a GX?
I did a few tests today, system is still on v3.55 Gui V1, with Serial battery mod only, I adjusted settings in Sbattery at 1pm to how I want them, which increased the spikes, but basically the baseline Dbus RTT is 2ms with spikes up to nearly 50ms. When I look at (577) RTT in diagnostics it shows 2ms.
I was wondering if a high solar charge (high DC current) might be a problem, or the 4kW solar excess Immersion, but neither seemed to make a big difference.
I’m still not sure how big a spike to try and keep below, I’ll try on Gui v2 and then with Battery Aggregator and see how bad it gets, but so far keeping on Gui V1 has stopped the reboots and kept the RTT lower than before.
Hmm, switched over to Gui V2 and for some reason I’m not getting the Gui-v2 process hogs as I saw yesterday, and assumed had been causing multiple daily reboots the last month or so, still need to check with Battery Aggregator and then beta v3.60~72+
I still haven’t read anything definative explaning what we should be aiming for with Dbus RTT or for the Load Averages?
