tomorrow wrong spot price Czech Republic maybe some limit for negative price in variable?
EPEX SPOT price limits represent the maximum and minimum price allowed for energy trading, designed to prevent extreme market volatility. The harmonized maximum price for Day-Ahead auctions is +€4,000/MWh, while the minimum is -€500/MWh.
Hello, I see the same bug quite regularry in Czech on my site also. Always it is during cheap price period…I dont have a clue why and how can happened - like missing data, so some “stupid” interpolation.
I will post picture also later.
Did you noticed / understand my post? It’s not a fault it has to be just like this! It will never be cheaper than -50cent but otherwise it won’t be more expensive than 4 €
Hi, yes I noticed and understood your post. I am aware about the minimum limit. The prices from APEX were within the limits as should be during this time…
But the case which reports @jarakri is that the prices from spot were ~ (-12CzK) from 13 till 15. Not around 0 CZK.
I see this strange wrong data almost every day during cheap time. See e.g. this picture for tomorrow :
This failure in calculation/data will disappear somewhen during nig ht…
If I check direct spot price, if I try every other SW showing prices for tomorrow, everywhere is the correct, just Victron VRM unfortunately is not able to read and show correct price for some time slots. And this is causing also wrong planning of trades for this time slots.
Yes, I also understand some minimum and maximum prices. If the spot price drops below the minimum, it doesn’t need to be shown exactly. It’s strange that it turns a negative price into a positive one in the forecast. Otherwise, when I checked in the morning, the price was already displayed correctly at the minimum. When the spot price drops to such low values and the system predicts a positive price and delivery to the grid, it makes me uneasy :-).
