# DESS not honoring "zero sell to grid" today ? (2025-05-10 + 2025-06-16)

If I understood [this post](https://community.victronenergy.com/t/phasing-out-the-node-red-dynamic-ess-implementation/30859/15) correctly, the “Phasing out Node Red DESS” plan only encompasses the ‘victron-dynamic-ess’ node in favor of the all new and improved ‘vrm-api’ node.  
The option to steer DESS from Node Red will (and should) remain.  
Question remains if/when the new node will have all the features that the old one has, as stated in that topic.  
Let’s leave that discussion in that topic 🙂
