Hey everyone,
I´ve got my Cyrix installed as shown in the manual with the starter battery charging per alternator at 14,4V and the second battery charging with solar power at 14,7V.
The problem is, it doesn´t conect, neighter while driving, nor while solar charging. Even not, when I drive at night while the solar battery is empty.
The start assist function works and closes the relais temporarly.
Now I looked in the manual, where a table is shown, at which voltages the relay closes. For example, in a range of 13,4 V < V < 13,6 V, it closes within 1min, and in a range of 13,6 V < V < 13,8 V within 4 sec. But it doesn`t show what happens if a battery charges with more than 13,8V.
So… 14,4V and 14,7V standard charging voltages, doesn’t the Cyrix normally connect at these voltages? Do the batteries need to charge with less than 13,8V or is my Cyrix defect? Or do I have problems in understanding and it doesn’t work like that at all?
