Hello experts

I am new to Victron’s world, I am DIYer and i just migrated my solar system from 24V to 48V, let me give you all the background and details about it so you can help me better with my issue.

The old system:

1. **4 × 455W solar panels** → **1,640W total**
2. Panel configuration: **2S2P**
3. **Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/60**
4. Battery bank: **2 × 24V 120Ah LiFePO₄ batteries in parallel**
  - **24V / 240Ah**
  - Approximately **6.14 kWh nominal**
  - DoD set to 20%

5. **Victron SmartShunt 500A**
6. **24V / 2,000W pure sine-wave inverter Generic**
7. Approximately **80A fuse** between the battery bank and inverter
8. **SP140C 1000VDC PV combiner box**
  - 4 × **20A PV fuses**
  - **63A breaker**

9. PV wiring: we discussed **8 AWG** from de Combiner Box to the MPPT
10. Grounding system with an **8-ft ground rod**

and this is the new system configuration

Current 48V system

- **2 × AOUSK 48V 100Ah V2 LiFePO₄ batteries**
  - 51.2 V nominal
  - 100 Ah each
  - **200 Ah total**
  - ~ **10.24 kWh nominal**
  - 100 A BMS per battery
  - Batteries connected in parallel
  - One configured as **Master** , the other **Slave**

- **Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000 120V**
  - main inverter/charger
  - Currently only **one unit**
  - specifically bought the 120 V model that can later be paired with an identical unit for **120/240 V split-phase**

- **Victron Cerbo GX**
  - Connected to the battery BMS through CAN-bus
  - BMS is now recognized correctly
  - Both batteries appear as **2 modules online**
  - Cerbo sees the bank as **200 Ah**

- **Victron SmartShunt 500A**
  - Still installed
  - It is now shown separately from the managed BMS battery data
  - Connected between battery and negative busbar to read all DC charges

- **Solar**
  - Currently **4 × 455 W panels**
  - **1,640 W total**

- **MPPT**
  - Existing MPPT is the **Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/60**
  - **Fuse:** WindyNation ANL Fuse + Fuse Holder
  - **Fuse Rating:** **60A**.
  - **Connection:** **MPPT positive output → 60A ANL fuse → positive busbar**
  - **Maximum MPPT Output Current set to:** 50A

- **Main DC protection**
  - **150 A Renogy Class-T fuse**
  - **600 A 12–48 V battery disconnect/kill switch**
  - Positive/negative busbars

Now my issue

The readings of consumption and solar are identical everytime

I’m not very experienced or that knowledgeable but this looks a lot like my situation.

> Hello, I have a problem that I would like help with if possible. I have an EasySolar-2 GX 48/5000. It has been working fine for 2 years. Everything was cool. I had some DC loads (2 Network switches, a NAS and 2 security cameras - 35-60w constant according to smartshunt) running direct from my battery for the past couple of months. That was fine but I wanted the unmonitored consumption to be included in the consumption data in VRM for the system. I purchased a SmartShunt 300 and installed it. …

What protocol is your Aousk battery using to communicate with the Cerbo? I wonder is it sending all data properly?

Can you compare the total charge and discharge figures on your BMS versus the total charge and discharge energy recorded in the battery panel in remote console? See if they match?

Since I am a newbie, I am not sure what is it you are talking about, but this is the config of the CAN Bus Profile

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/victron/original/3X/4/1/417c0b76b31731e99f155d11b6bdf56974a2c5ae.png)

Currently I’m having an issue with my batteries, with some cells going to COV.

Nos I am doing some testings, i went back to 1 battery , no CANBus and the shunt controlling measurments, Charts are normal now, but in a couple of days i will connect the BMS using CANBus again
I am asking the provider too

Hey,

I have now solved my issue. I had to turn on NodeRed on my Cerbo and then create a Virtual Battery to track consumption instead of my own BMS. I mirrored some values from the real BMS to the virtual one but omitted some values which were causing problems in VRM graphing. I left the real original BMS as the controlling one for charge voltage, current, etc.

The problem came from my battery emulating Victron’s CAN protocol in a slightly flawed way. It was sending some data that wasn’t exactly in the format the Cerbo expected to receive it if it was from a genuine Victron approved battery. I think your battery is also not an officially approved or supported battery by Victron. When you connect to your BMS via bluetooth app or computer connection can you see what protocol it is using to communicate over the CAN connection? Mine had a choice of emulating several protocols depending on what type of system you were trying to communicate with. I set mine to emulate the Victron protocol and it was doing a reasonable job but not perfect. Everything worked perfectly well for me until I tried to track DC consumption with a Smartshunt which is when the graphing issues appeared.

It took me quite a while to figure out even roughly what was happening. Before that I just turned off “Display DC loads” for a while until I could hopefully solve it.

Good luck mate. I’m a relative newbie too 🖖

hey, thank you for replying to my post.

Any chance you can share some screenshots of the options you set?

If you read my post that I linked above you will see some of the advice I got from others and also my NodeRed flow that I setup. If anything is still not clear to you ask me again but I am sure there are others on here who could help you better than I could. I’m only getting to grips with it myself still.
