I have been using a Multiplus 3000 24 70 on a boat for several years without any problems. It is connected to a VE.Bus Multi Control Panel and a BMV-501. I wanted to add a Color GX to the system. I understand that the BMV-501 is not compatible, so I replaced it with a BMV-700. With the Color GX, only the BMV-700 is visible, and the system does not work. As far as I can tell, all the cables are fine. Given that the Multiplus dates from 2010, is it too old? Does it need a software update? The same questions apply to the Multi Control Panel. If so, how can I do this? Thank you for your help.
You probably can’t update the inverter. At least not far enough.
What will likely be an issue is you will find DVCC doesn’t work at all.
