Chaining CerboGX

Hi all,

We have two Multiplus units in our camp site. I have a 12/1600/70 Multiplus and my Dad has a 12/1200/50 Multiplus in his caravan. Our batteries are the same and they can provide about 1500W of power. We are trying to “daisy chain” them in order to run a 1300W Nespresso machine. I have the Nespresso machine plugged in on my Multiplus and then I have the AC output of my Dads Multiplus connected to my AC In on my unit.

Both units have the UPS function disabled and accept a wide range of voltages. I have also set the shore input to limit to 3A.

The problem I am having when I activate the Coffee machine it appears to disconnect the input to my multiplus and run on my own unit.

I have not set the Grid code on these units as I don’t want to feed back into the grid. Could this be a issue? All the wires are guaged to their recommended specifications.

My goal is to use a bit out of each battery. Anyone have any suggestions as to why it would become unstable?

Thank you in advance.

The way some coffee machines work is they chop up the sine wave and that makes the synchronisation of u it to the other difficult.
It is possibly disconnecting because of that.

The 1300watts of the coffee machine what power factor is it?

Does the 1600 not just run the machine? It would probably be close to overload but it could do it. Its a short duration load.
