Cerbogx Modbus Update rate

Hi there,

Is anyone using ModbusTCP to communicate with their Victron System?

I am using it with my Victron Quattro & CerboGX. I am finding the update rates are extremely slow with the CerboGX. Is anyone else experiencing this?

The values in the Cerbox GX for Grid meter etc change every second so would have expected the Modbus records to update every second too.. This does not happen. any help is welcome.

Thanks
Mike

I grab dozens of modbus registers from my Cerbo GX (separate transactions) ,

and successfully log them every second with no troubles at all using a custom python library.

Pretty much everything updates at 1 Hz.

What are you using to read the modbus tcp registers?

You can check dbus-spy on the command line to see how fast things should be updating.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using a Loxone Home Automation system to read the information. It can poll down to 0.1s and I am using a polling rate of 1s on all my other devices and that is working well…. For some reason the cerbo is seemingly giving my data for the grid meter and pv meter every 20s.

Any help on find the polling rate is welcome.

Thanks,
Mike

what grid meter are you using?
