Have you checked the supported device list in the manual and looked up their specs?
BPP900100200 - CCGX WiFi module simple (Nano USB) → No 5 GHz
BPP900200300 - Asus USB-N14 → no documentation
BPP900200100 - Startech USB300WN2X2D → no WPA3
BPP900100100 - Zyxel NWD2105 → no documentation
BPP900200200 - Gembird WNP-UA-002 → no documentation
BPP900200400 - Netgear AC1200 / Netgear A6210-100PES
Hey Victron, are you kidding us?
There is only one supported WiFi USB dongle with 5 GHz available?
And the price is so disproportionate!! @BobHopman
There are others, the list is what has been officially tested.
Probably is cheaper to add a smaller 2.4ghz router for all the iot devices that 2.4 anyway. 5ghz is such short range.
Or [GIT hub] to load your own (How to install driver wifi 5ghz 0bda:b812 Realtek RTL8812AU/RTL8812BU Dual Band 1200mbps Wireless USB Wifi Network Adapter Antenna Laptop Ethernet 1000M Ethernet External · GitHub).
I definitely need a WLAN module with a 5 GHz band.
The 2.4 GHz band is far too crowded in this location.
The distance between the WLAN access point and the Cerbo GX is a maximum of 15 meters and there is a line of sight.
This adapter arrived this afternoon.
I’m testing this one right now.
