Cerbo GX intermittent VRM data sync issue with off-grid solar setup

Hi everyone, I am running a Victron-based off-grid solar setup with Cerbo GX connected to MPPT and MultiPlus inverter. Recently I’ve noticed an issue where data is not consistently syncing to VRM. The system works fine locally, but VRM shows gaps in data or delayed updates.

System details:

  1. Cerbo GX (latest firmware)
  2. MultiPlus inverter
  3. MPPT solar charge controller
  4. VRM portal enabled via Ethernet connection

Issue:

  1. VRM dashboard sometimes stops updating for several hours
  2. Local GX Touch display shows normal real-time data
  3. Internet connection is stable (tested separately)
  4. Restarting Cerbo GX temporarily fixes the issue

What I’ve already checked:

  1. Network connection stability
  2. VRM settings enabled correctly
  3. Firmware is up to date
  4. Ethernet cable replaced once

This system is also being used in a training/demo environment related to an AI Staffing Firm Certification program, where we simulate renewable energy monitoring setups for learning purposes. That’s why consistent data logging is important for us.

It might be a network problem on the LAN or the router that connects the site to the internet.

You could try WireShark or Emco Ping Monitor to verify the network traffic or access to internet respectively.
