Hi,
I have two virtually identical installations.
#1: Multiplus-2 12/2000/80 / Cerbo GX / Fogstar Drift Pro 280Ah LiFePo4 / Smart Solar MPPT 100/50
#2: Multiplus-2 12/1600/70 / Cerbo GX / Fogstar Drift Pro 280Ah LiFePo4 / Smart Solar MPPT 75/10
In each case the Fogstar Drift Pro battery is connected to the Cerbo GX via a CAN-Bus connection, and the Multiplus via a VE.Bus.
In both installs, although they are connected to 240V mains, I want to prioritise solar so have configured a virtual switch so that if/when the battery SOC reached 40% the Multiplus will recharge the battery to 100%, and keep it there for an hour before disconnecting the mains once again.
Install #1 behaves as I would expect:
But Install #2 is doing the following:
Each time it recharges it only gets to around 90% of the previous charge. The bit at the end was when I disabled the virtual switch and let it get to zero then fully recharge to 100%, which it did without issue.
I have compared the two Cerbo GX configs and they are identical, so I don’t understand why one install behaves as I would expect and the other doesn’t.
Both the Multiplus and the Cerbo GX seem to be aware of the Battery SOC, so I don’t understand why the Multiplus in the second install seems to be stopping charging before the SOC reaches 100%
Any ideas?
Richard
