BSC 12/5 always on?

Hi,

I wonder if I can keep the Blue Smart Charger 12V 5A always in charging mode.

At the moment I always switch of the 230V supply.

My concern is that there is something like a short circuit or at least an inefficiency in a circle:

  • the generator loads the starter battery and (via the Orion XS battery booster) the lithium battery
  • The lithium battery also powers the starter battery (via the BSC12/5 and the multiplus)

Is the BSC12/5 clever enough to stop charging the starter battery when it’s voltage is high due to the active generator?

How do you manage your charger?

I leave mine plugged i continuously on the generator.
It cycles into storage and out depending on how it is used.

Yes. It will follow its programming.

Where in particular?
If in the charger itself, it has protections for that.
