50 Ah booster delivers no more than 20 Ah per hour

Question,

We had a 30Ah mains charger and a 50 Ah Booster from Victron installed in our motorhome, as well as a 200 Ah lithium battery. The installer told us that one hour with the engine running would add 50 Ah of charge.

However, after a 70-minute journey, only 20 Ah had been added. When starting, it shows an incoming current of approximately 40 Ah, but very quickly, after about 10 minutes,

it drops back by quite a lot.

The Booster also gets fairly hot. The installer built it into a very small space where the Booster has no ventilation.

The installer does not want to know anything about this and blames the rest of the installation.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Why not take a look at the data with Victron Connect?
